Isaac Morrison

With the first year of his NBL career behind him, Isaac Morrison is more than excited to be part of the Property Brokers Jets for the 2022 season.

The 2021 NBL season could have been considered a baptism of fire for Isaac Morrison. The call up for Morrison was driven by necessity due to a myriad of injuries that struck the 2021 starting line up. Suddenly Morrison was suiting up for the Jets as a core part of the rotation for the remainder of the season.

Fast forward to now and Coach Natu Taufale has Morrison in his sights as a key part of the young, new look Jets. “Isaac is a key guy in our mix this year. The great thing that Isaac brings is his willingness to do what is necessary to help the team and this is what makes him a valuable part of our group.”

Morrison, who hails from Wellington, will fulfill a role as one of the frontline forwards in the team this year. A role that will see him doing a lot of the “hard yards” in the paint, getting teammates open on offense and protecting the key on defense.

“Yeah, I really enjoy the physicality of the game and the position I play lends itself to that part of the game,” said Morrison.

The 6’7” power forward will have his work cut out for him this year with no less than nine, 6’10” plus players gracing the courts around the NBL, including three 7-footers! No doubt Morrison will relish the challenge and grab the opportunity with both hands.

The 2022 Sal’s NBL gets underway for the Property Brokers Jets at home in the Fly Palmy Arena on Sunday 1st May when they take on the Taranaki Airs.
