Nathaniel Salmon

6’6” Mana College alumni, Nathaniel Salmon has committed to starting his Sal’s NBL career with the Property Brokers Jets and there’s a lot to be excited about.

Salmon, a current Junior Tall Black has just completed Year 13 and made the decision along with his family, to start his NBL career an hour and a half from home in Palmerston North.

“This has been a long term goal for Nathaniel and to see him with Natu at the Jets is all the more special”, said father Jason.

Coach Taufale has known the Salmon family for many years and understands the good fortune of signing a young talent like Nathaniel.

“He’s certainly a gifted young player and his understanding of the game is beyond his years. The opportunity to coach Nathaniel and help him develop in our system is an exciting situation. He will bring another level of diversity to our player pool with his size and skillset.”

Nathaniel will have a family connection in the Sal’s National Basketball League as he joins his brother Klein as part of the 2022 Property Brokers Jets.

“We’ve grown up playing with and against each other and to be part of the Jets organization in the Sal’s NBL with him is pretty special for us and our whanaū” said Salmon.

Salmon will link up with the team in the coming weeks as part of the Property Brokers Jets pre-season schedule as they prepare for the 2022 season.
